Switching cultures and country will definitely makes you become more observer 😊. You will notice lot of things that really stands out from the rest. Its also help you to learn and absorb new knowledge from your own mistakes 😊 so I just want to share you guys why it is so nice to live in Sweden 😊
So for now, I come up with this."Things you will surely love in Sweden" 😊.If you feel i forgot something feel free to add lol :)
Drinking water straight from the faucet is a big yes :). Tap water is clean, fresh and safe so no worries guys ;)
You will definitely never get sick of Swedish meatballs, because meatballs is love love love (meatballs with macaroni and yogurt on the go Lol).
You also put tomato sauce(as in heinz tomato sauce on your macaroni and meatballs) amazing hehehe but yummy!
IKEA - Land of all fabulous furniture and home decorations :) You think nothing of spending all day long at IKEA looking for a piece of furniture. Shop till you drop :)
Princess cake is not only for royals but for everyone!! You will never say NO for this yummy cake..Delicious cream with marzipan is a delight!!
Walking with your dogs is now your everyday routine :) in street, in park, in nature ..at night, morning, everyday!! :)
You pronounce ICA as eeka :) not I.C.A . Grocery stores charge you for plastic or paper bag in an effort to keep waste low and encourage people to recycling. So before you throw out that plastic bag, you may want to reconsider first :)
Dont be surprise if you see shrimp in a cake :) they call it Smörgåstårta a SANDWICH CAKE. Dig in with this delicious swedish cake :)
Summer is never ending sun :) midnight sun is still on :). Summer is maypole and wreath and dance.
There is a day for your candy. Saturday in Sweden are special day for kid like me hahaha. They call it Lördagsgodis as saturday candies.
Where there is a day for Cinnamon rolls/Kanebullens dag.
When you starting to sit in front of your TV and play BINGO :)
Snow during winter is wonderful and beautiful. It sensible to eat ice cream and have conversation outside when its -10C lol!
Right of public access, which gives everyone the freedom to roam and enjoy nature to camp, pick berries and mushrooms. Blueberries (Blåbär) and Raspberries (Hallon) are my favorite.
Your coffee consumption exceeds 6 cups a day (brewed or instant). You probably change coffeemaker each year :) and when you hear coffee.. it's FIKA time. Coffee is also too weak of taste if there is less than 10 scoops per pot!!
When Wind turbines is just everywhere. It's fascinating to look it outside on your cars window :).
When you starting to enjoy walking out in the woods/forest and searching for a moose/elk :) hide out!
Where you can see fries over your pizza :) and eat it with knife and fork :P lol
The wonderful man I married is SWEDISH :)
It's fun to know everything :) Can't wait to discover more and share it to all of you guys!:) If you can add something let me know.. and I would happily add them in :)

It's been two months now since I left and kiss goodbye to my family and friends back home and I can't imagine how time flies so fast. I can still remember my first day in Sweden year 2010 where everything is so different from my home country, everything is so new to me :). Travelling alone was a new experience, and I was so scared and nervous as it was my first time abroad. Anyway, I'm so happy to be back again after my last year visit. Spending time with my husband now is so priceless :) He is my number one priority as of now.
Aside of planning out to go to school this year, my husband told me that I need to have my Personal number/Personnummer first. They say once you moved and live in Sweden you must apply for your Personal Number that enable you to unlock your new world haha :) because without it you can't do anything, without it is impossible to do the most important task like going to the doctor or hospital, attending to school, finding a job or even opening your personal bank account. Amazing right? I wonder how important it is!!! that tiny little number will surely makes a difference and rock your life 😊
Anyway, let me tell you guys first what is Personal number/Personnummer. Swedish Personal number is a unique identification number that is based on your birth date and will remain the same for your entire life in Sweden. This number allows you to become part of the Swedish system and serve as your personal identification. So when you received your residence permit you are required to register with the Swedish Tax Agency or Skatteverket. This population registration which everyone living in Sweden must register for to be entered into the system as a tax-paying resident.
My husband and I went to Skattverket in Vänersborg last month to apply for my personal number with all my surprise it was fast and easy transaction 👌. I armed myself with confidence and documents and whoola!! everything run so smooth. They gave me a form to fill in and asked for a copy of my passport, marriage certificate, residence card and ID's. They say it takes up to week but for me it only count 3 days and I got my result. I received a mail from them and guess what!! this was the very FIRST ever letter I got since I move to Sweden with my name written on it was a good feeling...😉
My first ever letter that I received!
I know this is only just a start! So guys, make sure you are updated and aware of everything surrounds you. Know your rights and duty as a new citizen in a foreign country. Sabi nga nila kelangang maging matapang, mausisa at matibay ang loob hehehe so until next time... back to school!! 😊

After all the hardship I have been through in processing all of my documents..finally!! I can say at last!!! hehe with my tickets, certificates and approved visa I knew there was no turning back. This is it!
Moving to a foreign country is one of the biggest transitions I can ever make. Thinking about the place without a good job and not knowing single word of their language is really frustrating and hard for me. I know I made my decision right and whatever comes my way I will take it as a new experiences and challenges. Anyway to cut the story short here I am again, traveling all by myself. I just want to share you guys what to do before your international flight para maiba naman :)
Departure date: Oct 26,2014
Departing from NAIA terminal 3 is really annoying mapa-ano mang terminal kayo make sure to check-in as early as you can po nowadays! sobrang traffic pa papuntang airport at ang mga mahaba-habang pila na iyong dadanasin bago ka makasakay sa eroplano mo eh sakit kagad ng ulo para sa mga first timer dyan eto ang maibibigay ko na tips!.. hehehe
Important things to remember before our departure date:
1. You need to be at the airport at least 2 hours before you schedule departure time. Mas maaga mas maganda para mas marami kang time to check your things :) kasi in case you forgot something important at home, you still have time to go back and get it diba.
2. DOCUMENTS - Passport, printed flight itinerary/tickets, visa and CFO certificate. Lahat ng importanteng document nyo dalhin nyo na :) ilagay nyo na ito sa isang envelope.
3. MONEY - Don't forget that you need to pay 550 for your terminal fee and 1,620 php in cash for your travel tax only if you bought your ticket online. (Bago kayo mag check-in magbayad muna kayo ng travel tax dahil minsan mahaba ang pila don)
Calaguas is a beautiful island from its clear water, powdery white sand like boracay and a peaceful surrounding is almost like a paradise :) definitely one of the best island to visit nowadays! specially if you're tired visiting crowded beaches. A very laid-back island, simple and stress-free, far from the hectic city life!
superfriends class picture
Calaguas is an island located in the province of Camarines Norte. As part of our DIY Bicol region tour this year is to visit this lovely place. For almost 2 hours of rough boat ride was worth it. Gonna share some photos how I love Calaguas :)
Bagasbas Beach is located in Daet, Camarines Norte in Bicol. After our sakit katawang experience in Camsur (CWC) for day 1, we had a surfing sidetrip to Bagasbas beach the next day. We wanted to have a best trip ever! We leave Camarines Sur early in the morning, had lunch in the terminal and reached the beach around 2 in the afternoon. Trying our luck in surfing ...Lol!!
superfriends here we come! :)
We rest a little and had our late meryendang pansit at Surfer's Dine-Inn and decided to settled one night in that place. We know its kinda late na to surf because we started around 4 pm na but we wanted to try it anyway. We are so excited to try something new so no matter what time it is .. go for gold! hahaha
Well, forgive me for being oh soo cheezy right now hahaha!! (pagbigyan nyo na ako!! pinaghirapan ko gawin to lol). Truly blessed to have the man I have today. :) I'm just so happy :) If you want to watch the video kindly change it nalng yung settings to 480p haha kasi medjo malabo yung pictures (nagrequest ba daw ba) enjoy!

My residence permit requires me to visit the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok Thailand just to leave my biometric (btw you can do that for just one whole day!). So I was thinking, instead of just going there for my biometric why not get a tour package at the same time right? (personal and tour just in one!!) and of course I want to explore the place naman and see more of Bangkok, Thailand 😊
Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok, Thailand
When my family and I arrived in Bangkok, we proceed and check in at Salil Hotel at Soi 8. I will recommend this hotel a 100 % worth of stay. WIFI is good, excellent food and staff are amazing! better check it and say hello to the receptionist which is a Filipina too, yep! she is Pinay like me 😊 so its easy for us to get along with right? hahaha.
I would suggest you to book in this hotel if you will going to take your Biometric in Swedish Embassy in Bangkok. This hotel is not too far from the Embassy and it only take 10 minutes walk from hotel to the Embassy. I tell you, you will not regret staying in here and they have free breakfast that is buffet style hahaha which is I really love - eat till you drop!!
Salil Hotel at Soi 8 :)
Breakfast is buffet style. There are lot of choice for those who prefer a more traditionally western breakfast. They also serve thai breakfast too. Pour your own coffee and make your own tea., juice or water 😁
They run a golf cart to help their guest to drop to Nana BTS train station :)
We stayed 4D/3nights in Bangkok and I decided to allot one whole day just for my biometric process. I really wanted to make sure that I will not stress out on time and be rushed on everything. Guess what!! I finished it in just 10 minutes! in my surprise. I went there early in the morning just to make sure I am early (as they say "Early bird catches the worm), so 8am to be exact and I am the first applicant in the line. 😉 Good thing is that, Swedish embassy is only just 10 mins walk from my hotel. That is why I highly recommend this Salil Hotel.
My Queue Ticket show number 5 LOL im the first applicant 😉
Swedish Embassy in Bangkok 20th F, One Pacific Place 140 Sukhumvit Road, between soi 4 and soi 6 bangkok Thailand.
Biometric takes only for 10 minutes or less especially if you are early in the line and keep in mind that the embassy gets more busy in the middle of the day so better be early as much as possible. Embassy officer is really nice and accommodating just present your Beslut (decision) and passport to them and they will just take a photo of you, weight, height, finger prints and signature and that was it!! so easy! before you leave they will give you a information sheet where you can call to update your card.
After that ... the tour is about to begin! 😊

Well, my last STEP before I say "bye Pinas!". When I got my residence card the consulate reminds me to attend a seminar at CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) to get the CFO CERTIFICATE and EMIGRANT STICKER on my passport (REQUIRED and its a must!!). They inform me that the immigration officer at the airport will check this document together with my visa before my departure so I need to secure and provide these documents.
I wanted to be ready with all the important documents so I apply for my schedule instantly hahaha because, I didn't want to experience being held for questioning on the day of my departure which is too much hassle or might get worst to be offloaded on my plane!.. which I don't want to happen on me lol 😃
It's been a long way of processing and stressed interviews, so exhausted and tired yet so happy now. After all these nailed hole experienced I got! finally, I made it!. The moment my husband said to me that my card is already arrived in the consulate and it is ready for pick-up, I feel so thrilled and excited. I know that he is really happy about it. I was so excited to get it and show it to him. So much joy and excitement. Finally! Sweden here I come!! IGEN!! 😊
My Uppehållstillstånd 😍
When I get my card in the embassy they told me to double check it and examine my card details like signature, birth date and name should be correct. It also has all sort of holographic stuff and design plus the colour is so cute pink!
Now I have my card, I can almost see my way to a happily ever after ending hahaha😄. Hmmm not so soon (I know that hahaha!!) seriously, what I see is another bunch of papers to fill out for my next adventure! CFO Seminar hahaha
So next time I'll share you guys about my CFO procedure naman. You can the link here 👉 MY CFO GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING PROGRAM

After you gather all the documents needed scanned it and apply online. Just remember that you'll need to present the same documents you sent at the day of your interview.
Please consider also that you have to travel to Bangkok Thailand to leave a Biometrics once you granted a permit and this is applicable for the applicant who lives in the Philippines. You can check the important information in these below link.
That forum helps me a lot in applying my residence permit in Sweden because it gives me an idea where to start with. I always make sure that I do my research first.
I love to travel so much and visiting Bicol Region is really amazing and fun, worth it!! We did try wake boarding at Camsur , surfing at Bagasbas beach is awesome!!!!. Calaguas is so beautiful, the sand, the water, food is really yummy and people are really great!.. another one big check from my bucket list! enjoy watching :)

I'm a type of girl who really loves fun and adventure, trying out wakeboarding is really new for me but hey! I did it and it was so fun 😊. It was not as scary as I thought but a little complicated for a beginner like me, but other than that it was a fun experience. Another check on my bucket list! Wake boarding makes my trip to Bicol Region so memorable and fun! 😊 You can visit their site here: Camsur Watersports Complex CWC
Nag-paangkas ang trip ko 😉
We were so lucky that time because the place is not crowded and we have so much time to enjoy the activity (as in want-to-sawa kami as in wakeboarding till you drop). When we visit the place is it currently under renovation due to the typhoon. I've noticed some broken cottages, the restaurant roof are unfortunately not well maintained and dilapidated, the glass door on the front desk won't close properly and the wood is rotten. Sink is broken and wooden locker room is not available. I must say they need a major upgrade and repair of that place. Restaurant was very slow and most of the food in the menu wasn't available (btw the Chinese Adobois really yummy and affordable). Some of the rooms are close and some of the lake is not operational (under maintenance I guess) in addition for that, the Mayon Volcano is in alert level that time so the place in not jam-packed. (see picture below)
What is Report of Marriage (ROM)? Report of Marriage is a requirement for Filipino overseas who have contracted a marriage abroad whether to a fellow Filipino or a foreign spouse. Some of us who have gotten married overseas are unaware of this step. Some couples forget to process it and some tend to skip on doing it because it takes too much time, money and stressful days (I must say LOL!). It was a bit hassle, though, but in reality, doing this will save you from any trouble later on.
Just a heads-up guys! You should report your marriage within a year or it will be considered as late registration. You have to do it as in NOW!! don't waste time, because Report of Marriage (ROM) is one of the requirements needed for applying dual citizenship or if you want to change you Philippine passport to your married name.
I could only imagine the hassle my husband and I went through just to Report our Marriage in Phil. Embassy in Norway, whereas me was in the Philippines while him is in Sweden (we're back in LRD that time since my visa is already expired. We are in the process of applying my RP visa too and processing all the documents is like a pain in the A! ugh! so much stress that time and I'm glad that I get over it! ). Anyhow! I hope to reach out and help out people who are confused and clueless about the process. I hope my step by step procedure will help you out 😊.
Since the Embassy of Philippines in Stockholm is now closed, we just; follow the instructions we found in the site of Philippine Embassy in Norway (Oslo). According to the instruction of the Philippine Embassy in Norway:
Check this site (below) for further information/REQUIREMENST and FEES of application.
TAKE NOTE: All documents NOT in English must be accompanied by an English translation. So kung hindi english ang Marriage Certificate mo, kailangan mo muna itong ipa-translate sa legal translator at ipa-notaryo at ipa-authenticate sa Ministry of Foreign Affairs kung saang bansa kayo kinasal. If everything is set at completo na lahat pwede na kayo magpasa ng documents nyo.
Check my post (below) for further information how we translate our Swedish MC
After we gathered all the important documents needed, we sent our marriage certificate (English version and Swedish version along with other required documents) in Embassy of Philippine in Oslo Norway. This is how the Report of Marriage looks like (picture below).
The Embassy will forward one copy of the Report of Marriage to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in the Philippines. Another copy will be kept as part of the Embassy’s records and a third copy will be given to the applicant.
They will return back one copy of your ROM na may signature and seal na natatak na siya (that is your own personal copy)
Report of Marriage from the Embassy (personal Copy)
Well, my husband lives in Sweden (Västra Götaland, Sweden) a country where my heart is. We didn't meet through a chance meeting while Me or Him was traveling for work or doing stuff, we just met online (yeah online dating site!) and found out that have mutual interest, learned about each other, fell in love and the rest is history lol. After almost a 2 and a half years of planning and LDR, he finally invited me to visit him. I went to Sweden year 2013 (btw that is my second time I visited this beautiful Country the first one is year 2009-2010). We got married the next year 2014 and we plan everything like: Me studying, learning and moving to Sweden instead of him moving to Philippines which I know is the best for us. I am now a Swedish citizen (Hallelujah!) and I just want to share to you guys our experiences on how, where and what we did to be able to go this far. My journey is one of many.
I hope to reach out and help out people who are confused and clueless about the process. I hope my step by step procedure will help you out 😊.
