The simplest and fastest way to submit an application for a Schengen visa to visit or live in Sweden is to do it electronically. In order to apply electronically you must fulfill certain requirements and you'll need to scanned it. Then proceed to Migrationvsverket official site for more information.

That forum helps me a lot in applying my residence permit in Sweden because it gives me an idea where to start with. I always make sure that I do my research first.
This is how we do it:
1. Check if you have a valid passport and the validity period of it must be at least 2 years valid otherwise you'll need to renew it or acquired a new passport from DFA. You need also to photocopy your old passport and all the pages with entry and exit stamps from your previous trip. (Kahit na hindi pa maexpired ang passport nyo basta dapat at least 2 years valid pa sya, yung passport ko that time is 2 months nalng bago maexpired kaya nagrenew muna ako.)
2. Your partner must acquire a passport copy, valid Id's and birth certificate (personbevis) from Swedish Tax Authority (Skatteverket).
3. Applicant (YOU) must acquire documents from NSO-PSA (if you are already married CENOMAR is not needed).

- Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)
- Marriage Certificate in NSO-PSA paper (if you already have it)
- Vigselbevis (Marriage Certificate in Sweden) translated in English version and legalized.
- Report of Marriage in the Philippine Embassy
4. If you are married or if anyone of you are previously has been married there are more documents that have to be enclosed and needed to provide. Please check the above referred instruction on the site.
5. You need to register first in Migrationsverket site:

| After making an account, you will need to complete the whole application they will send on your registered e-mail. That is why it is very important to provide your personal e-mail. |
You must fill in the questionnaire online. "Application for Residence Permit" and "Family Details" is included. There is also an essay type of questions wherein you need to tell everything about your relationship, on how you two met, if you've been in his/her place and about your future plans. You also need to provide a details about your referent person (husband/wife/partner) because once you've finish the online application, your partner might going to receive an e-mail with the same questionnaire to fill in and he/she'll need to answer it back.

Your referent must print the PDF file and send it to you along with the original documents you need for your interview. After you fill it up, attach the scanned documents and pay the fees (through your credit card amounting 1,500 SEK/7,210 THB /10,370 PHP for adult). According to the instructions on the site you will going to received a PDF file of the online application and a receipt. Print it out and bring it along on the day of the interview.

Applicants from the Philippines who should conduct an interview for a residence permit must contact the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok in advance to book an appointment.
To avoid travelling to Bangkok more than once applicants from the Philippines who wish to hand in a paper application for residence permit can choose to do so the same day as the interview will be conducted.
Requests for interview is sent to visa.bangkok@gov.se
All paper applications for residence and work permits must be handed in at the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok.

6. The Interview will be held at the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. Be on time po. If you know each other well you don't have to be nervous. You will be asked these type of questions: About you and your partners families, where they live, name of her parents, if they have pets, characteristics of your partners home in Sweden, where he/she is working etc. A lot of time at the interview will be spent how and when you first met. It necessary also to show some pictures you are together as a proof. It's like you just reminiscing your whole love story 😂. (depende rin sa mag interview kung ano ang itanong nya sa inyo).
If you have any typographical error on your application form (which is usually do happens sometimes) inform them immediately and tell them the reason why. Don't lie. If you don't know the answer of a question it is better to give a good explanation why this is unknown to you.

11. The decision of the residence permit is sent to the person in Sweden. The Migration Board in Sweden will also email the decision to the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok who in turn will email the decision to the Swedish Consulate in Manila and they will contact you by e-mail. The letter from the Migration Board with the decision of the residence permit should be saved.
My husband got my beslut (decision) and he send it to me through DHL express.
12. When you know that your residence permit has been granted (don't wait for the e-mail from the consulate) You can go to Bangkok Thailand without any appointment needed. The embassy is open Mon-Tue-Friday 8:30 to 12:00 noon. No embassy on WEDNESDAY. I went to Swedish Embassy in Bangkok Sept 12 for my biometric and it takes only 5-10 minutes, so easy! just show them your passport and the decision letter and whoo-la, they take you a pictures, finger prints and signature.
13. It will take a couple of weeks before your Residence Permit Card has been produced in Sweden and sent through the Swedish Embassy in Bangkok.
So be aware that it can take some time before you can travel to Sweden after the decision of residence permit has been made. Even if you already have your Residence Permit Card you must also get an exit permission from CFO before you departure to Sweden. The migration office at the airport will check why you are departing from the Philippines. You will need to have a CFO certificate and Emigrant sticker in your passport. In order to get the CFO certificate you will have to attend a seminar and register at CFO.
As of now, I'm just waiting for my Residence Permit Card and I know it's still a long way to go but other than that is soon I will be with my hubbydubby na! Hope it helps you guys!

Deletehmm about sa email address namn I think dapat meron ka sariling email address na ginamit but i don't think na malaking problem yun.. as long as yung boyfriend mo iba ang ggmitin rin na email kasi alam ko padadalhan rin sxa ng form na sasagutan nya through his email add also so kapag same kayo ng email address na ginamit (yun lang siguro ang problema) other than that bast walng problema sa mga documents nyo .. *no worries!

ReplyDeleteIm not sure po about sa desiyon eh.. sila naman ang nagbibigay nun pero ang maipapayo ko sayo po is dapat meron po work si bf dahil isa po yun sa tinitignan nila if mag aaply ka lalo na at RPermit pa ang iaapply mo. Share ko lang dati rin wala work si hubby ko dahil may business sila but then again.. talagag inantay muna namin na magkawork sxa dahil isa sa requiremnt na meron sxang (required money) sa bank accnt nya ..Kaya we waited 1 yr bago ako nag-tourist sa Sweden and then tska kami ng apply ng RP nung stable na sxa sa trabaho nya.

ReplyDeletekalimitan namn ng tanong sa interview is about lang namn sa iyo at sa kanya lalo na kung RPermit ang inapply mo (kung nagmeet na kayo, plans, about sa buhay nya sa buhay mo) kung ano plano nyo sa buhay, kung ano po yung nasa form yun rin ang tanong depende kung may itanong pa sa inyo. Kung kilala mo si hubby or bf hindi ka kakabahan at masasagot mo lahat ng itatanong nila ;)

I submitted my application for sambo visa last March 20 2019, then recieved an email today April 2, telling me to book an appointment na for an interview.

Hello I really don't know kasi kung same parin ng process since ang interview na is sa embassy in bangkok.. (if nag-apply ka from pinas) iba na kasi ngayon ang rule.. :( pasensxa na... pero kasi ang alam ko lang is yung form mo and yung mga requirements na ipinasa mo online ;) if ever naman na mag pa schedule ka ng interview eh ask mo narin kung ano ang kailangng dalhin... para sureness na kung mag e-mail ka to book an appointment eh baka pwede mo narin itanong para sureness narin.https://mitchhy2002.blogspot.com/logout?d=https://draft.blogger.com/logout-redirect.g?blogID%3D4474937618636436827%26postID%3D4080781848573588471.. salamat po

ReplyDeleteDepende kasi sis eh.. if kukuha ka ng tourist visa i know sa norway embassy ang humahawak ng tourist visa for sweden..u can apply online at pwede rin ata walkin dun ;) check mo ang norwayembassy dyan sa atin yung site nila.. im not sure kasi kung same prin ba ang mga requirements .. pero madali lang mag apply then interview ganun

Deleteok lang namn kahit hindi ka magaling mag english madali lng namn ang interview :) tska malalaman mo namn kagad yung ng ilang araw :) bsta kompleto ka ng requirements at walang problema then maapprove namn yan.

Hi michelle question kase ang tanong sa online if we lived together outside dweden less than 2yrs nasagot ko kase no kase parang ibig sabihin kase sakin nun ung naglivr in ba kaya sagot ko no tapos ung isa pa have we lived in or outside sweden sagot ko no ulut kase same dun sa una ung pagkaintindi ko ano ba dapat? Nagwoworry na ako kase feeling ko mali or maeexplain ko ba dya during interview? My dapat ba ako pag alala sa magreply ka thank you
ReplyDeletenakalimutan ko na kasi yung mga tanong sa form sis hahaha pero if hindi namn kayo tumira outside or within sweden ng matagal eh ok lng namn po na yun ang sagot nyo beside yung interview is same lang ang itatanong sa inyo sa form na sinagutan nyo po ;) kaya wag ka na po magworry.

ReplyDeleteI don't know kung pwede.. pero try mo i-check kung may mas maaaga na slot :) then kunin mo na as long lang na may available na slot ng mas maaga eh why not get it right? ;) hehehe beside pwede mo namn i-cancell yung nauna kung matagal pa ang date basta make sure na merong available na maaga baka kasi macancell mo yung isa ng wala pang available na mas maaga diba baka lalo lang mapalayu ang schedule mo :)

Hello :) yeah they say na you can do it na while waiting pa pero inaadvice nila sa consulate na parang 50/50 sxa kasi if pumunta ka doon then hindi pala approve or what eh sayang ang gastos mo (wala namn kasing appointment/schedule dun bsta pumunta ka lang sa embassy and say na magpabiometric ka)

I recommend na antayin mo nalng ang result ng interview mo para at least hindi ka magsayang ng pera at pagod... beside you can finish it in just one whole day wala pa ngang oras ang itatagal mo roon hihihi pwede ka balikan from thailand to pinas :)

ReplyDeleteHi Misay,I'm Riabel,we just applied resident permit this June 29 ,2018.And today my husband relieve an email from the migrationskervet, asking for his apartment and employment contract.So all in all its only more than a month since we applied online.We got married in sweden this may 2018.we are currently on process of registering our marriage.Do u have any idea how long will it take me to be in Sweden?Thank you.

If they are asking you more documents, don't hesitate to give it to them maybe the are only wanted to know more if your husband can really support you financially when you moved in here na.. or they wanted to investigate more.. other than that its okey naman.. and it really takes time, months minsan nga years pa ang itinatagal.. but if there are no problem namn mabilis na ang 6 months :) just wait lng po minsan kasi depende sa humahandle ng kaso nyo..
