HOME MADE PORK SHANGHAI (spring rolls)

Lumpiang shanghai :) one of my favorite easy to make pinoy fika-fika food. Lumpiang shanghai is common dish during celebrations (birthday,new year, Christmas or simple meryenda! ) It is best if combined with sweet and sour sauce or a ketchup. It also best paired in rice, pancit or spaghetti :)

I just want to share to you guys how to make a simple pork shanghai. All of the ingredients can  easily be found in any supermarket. Its easy to make.

My Pork Shanghai Ingredients:
  • 1/4 ground pork
  • 1 big onion (minced)
  • 5 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 Big carrot (finely chopped)
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • 2 egg
  • 1 whole celery (this is optional :) using this will makes your shanghai smells good)
  • 50 pcs shanghai roll (you can find shanghai roll in any supermarket, usually you can find it in thailand stall or ASIAN section of the grocery.) 



My Procedures:



1. chopped and minced garlic and onion


2. chopped and minced carrot

3. combined chopped ingredients with the ground pork

4. Put ground pepper, 2 Egg and salt to taste

5. Mix it well and add celery if you want to (add more seasoning to your desired taste)

(Wrapped the mixture using lumpia wrapper)
7. Spread thinly the filling into the wrapper horizontally

8. Roll the meat mixture towards the middle and fold both sides inward to seal.

9. Roll it until you reach the end

10. Continue to roll until you have reach an inches left of the wrapper.
Using you finger brush small amount of water to seal it completely

11. Make sure it is tightly secure

12. Do same thing again in the next wrapper

FRY THE WRAPPER MEAT AND MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE SIDES ARE COOKED RIGHT
