Göteborg Naturhistoriska Museet - Sweden

Beautiful quotes to share 📖 :
"A visit to a museum is a search for beauty, truth and meaning in our lives. Go to museums as often as you can" 🏢🏢 🎫🎫 😊

Watch me as I explore the beauty of this big place called Göteborg Naturhistorisk Museet. Be amazed how cool and interesting all the display there :)

Me standing in front of Göteborgs Naturhistoriska Museum

This place is so amazing! If you like a museum with stuffed animals and all about botany and biology kind of stuff! This museum is just exactly for you. This place is so big and many rooms to look for. There are lots of stuffed animals! elephant and the big whale called "Malm the Blue Whale" and its awesome! It said to be the only stuffed blue whale in the world. It is enormous and the history of it on how they make it possible is really interesting and unbelievable. Worth a visit!

My Favorite Place - Gekås ULLARED, Sweden

Whenever I hear the word GEKÅS ULLARED it always makes my heart skip happy and jump to the highest level LOL because it only means SHOPPING TIME!! Who doesn't like shopping! right? 😉

If we have Divisoria in Philippines here in Sweden they have place called Gekås Ullared. Every Swede knows what Gekås Ullared is,it is the biggest and cheapest store to buy stuff in Sweden. Aside of that! When I first came here in Sweden, everyone I met used to ask me if I have ever been there before (guess what? one of that is my mother in law LOL!) She loved Ullared so much and so do I!.

Finally got my Swedish PERMANENT Residence Permit / PUT

I'm just so happy :) I am now a permanent resident of Sweden! been waiting this for almost 2 years now and I didn't expect that I will received the decision early this week since we only apply it last Friday. Any way high way, my panget is so happy and thankful about it. So it means celebration time and as what Swedish called it for cheers!! *SKÅL till Alla 🍸🍸

This is the best gift ever for me on my birthday this coming 18 and I'm still in a cloud-nine feeling right now. So for now, I'm just waiting for my card to arrive at home (Oh btw yesterday, we went to Migration Service Centre in Göteborg to have my finger prints and picture taken for my new residence card (BIOMETRIC AGAIN). They told me that they will send it via regular mail after 3 weeks. We also have little celebration at home with a cake and drinks 🍻. For those who don't know, renewing your visa/applying for an extension was a fairly easy process as long as you have your documents ready. You must apply before your permit expires and also you cannot apply online earlier than 6 months of the expiry date. I try to apply earlier than that and then the migrationsverket's website said to me that I cannot apply more than 30 days before the expiration date so better wait guys 😉.

So after living in here for another five years I can now apply for a citizenship but some people say I can apply for my Swedish Citizenship after 3 yrs having a Residence permit but hmmm let see it then if I am able to apply for my citizenship after a year and have a Swedish passport 😚 soon. I'll just wait for that of course (I better not think about it for now 😉).

So that's for now guys! I'll update you once I get my card soon 👍

CARLSTENS FORTRESS - Marstrand, Sweden

This spring season we had a chance to visit this beautiful Island of Marstrand. We did a day tour exploring the whole Island and visit the majestic Carlstens Fästning (Carlsten Fortress). It is located on the Island of Marstrand about 45 kilometer northwest of Gothenburg and it takes around 1hr and 35mins drive where we live (Grästorp). You need to ride a ferry that located in Koön, it goes every quarter in daytime and during the night it goes every half an hour. The ferry is really modern and nice plus you can also go out on the upper deck if you wanted to see the beautiful view of . It only takes a couple of minutes boat ride 😊. You can buy the ticket inside the store that is close to the port area and it goes two-way ticket already from(Kaoön to Marstand to Koön).

Off to visit Carlsten Fortress
Unfortunately, that time we didn't get a chance to book for a tourist guide but you can check and roam around the  fortress and walk on your own provided that you pay for your entrance ticket. You can also buy booklet, maps and guided books in the entrance and don't worry if you can't understand Swedish because they offer English guided tour and guided books that available in several languages.
For guided tour and entrance fee you can visit their site: Carlsten Fortress opening hours and fees

The Carlsten Fortress (Carlsten Fästning)  was built in 1700's to protect the island from invaders and it was once a military and prison facility built to safeguard Marstrand before. Nowadays, it is one of the most favorite tourist attractions here in Sweden and I'm totally agree to that because the place is really beautiful, nice and peaceful! I recommend to visit it on a summer season although they offer lots of activity all year around 😉 its up to you to decide.

The weather was really nice when we visit the place, it's not too hot nor not to cold just so perfect to walk around and enjoying the beautiful view of Marstrand up on the hill where the fortress is.  The thick wall of the fortress is really impressive and it will leave you wondering how much time, effort and energy they spend building it before, such an interesting piece of history and what more if you see what is inside of the fortress.

The most famous prisoner at Carlsten fortress was Lasse-Maja. Lasse-Maja was a successful thief during their time. He was so popular because he’d disguise himself as a woman to avoid captivity. He was arrested and sentenced to lifetime 1813 Marstrand's work. Thanks to the cooking skills he learned that "woman" was serving Lasse-Maja large parts of his sentence as a chef. In 1839, after 26 years in captivity at Carlsten, he was pardoned by King Karl XIV Johan.

The most amazing views of Marstrand is from the top of Carlsten Fortress. What a picturesque view!
Dragging the stone to the construction was hard work. To get enough labor introduced a new sentence in the Swedish law: "Marstrand's work". From all over the country were then criminals that would be included in the workforce. They were murderers, big thieves, counterfeiters and rapists, but also easier for criminals like little thieves and vagrants. Sentence length varied from a few years to lifetime. To prevent escapes, the prisoners were provided with a tvåkilos birdo attached with chains around one ankle. Awkward and escape-prone inmates could get to wear a so-called Iron Crown, a lockup that could weigh up to 36 kg. The hard work and the miserable living conditions meant that the mortality rate was high. Some winters died up to 20 percent of the prisoners. Marstrand's work was abolished in 1854, and most of the prisoners were moved to Gothenburg.

(Here are some of the pictures we took on our tour  to show you how beautiful the place is!)

In the days of Charles X, when they were built, they served as the main entrance to the fortress. The gates are decorated with appropriate inscriptions and royal arms. Before there was a drawbridge
Outhouse in medieval style is on the walls of the Upper Courtyard (see picture above). Garrison's waste products dumped straight into the dry moat.

The place is really beautiful and  relaxing! It is a popular summer destination here in Sweden and if you get a chance to visit Gothenburg area, don't hesitate to add this place on your bucket list to visit!. A worth of time to reflect and relax away from the stressful city life!.   Not only that the island is so small that you can easily walk around and check the entire place in just whole day 😉 . There are lots of cafe, restaurant and hotel  too to check around if you'd like to stay there for couple of  more days.  Me and my husband we're planning to go back there next summer to enjoy more the place! We will definitely go back and visit it again!

My verdict : Itlog na maalat / salted egg (chicken eggs)

This is it!...been 25 days now since I made my itlog na maalat (salted egg) and now it's time to do some taste taste :)

check the date!
As you all know I used chicken eggs instead of the usual duck eggs, so I was a little bit worried that I might just get a dry yolk rather than the oily one which is usually do happened when you use the chicken eggs. Anyway, I search online (I ask MR. Google LOL) if its possible for me to attain the oily yolk even if I use different eggs or is there any method that I can use to make them as oily as possible like the one we buy in the store.

Searching, searching and searching till I found one answer! yes i found one!! and it's so easy to do I read her blog and it's really interesting too. She did the brine method and also she used chicken eggs like me!(see picture below the result) :) My Itlog na maalat!!

Creative Mind : How to Hide your cords and electric plugs

I was so busy for the past three weeks now because I am fixing my living room from the scratch (upgrading it on a budget range as you can call it) with the help of my own bare hands 😤 you know? like: removing all our old wallpaper, patching it!, refinishing it and painting it! Yup! call me a superwoman now hehehe and I'm happy about that!!. I know I can't call myself as a PRO like the professional one, but I'm proud and satisfied of what I did.

Anyway, I already finished painting up my living room in all white (picture below) and decided to remove my husband's old bookshelf and change it to a hanging shelf instead so we can have more space because as you can see we don't have a huge living room 😤.

This is how my living room looks like now :) neat and bright with my white wall
If your house is like ours (picture below), you have many cables, internet cord and power outlet all over the house then, you also feel the struggle that I feel everyday hehe. Seriously! I hate so much cables and wires! it makes me feel more stress out by just looking at them tangled 😤 irritating and annoying sometimes! (my Panget is a little nerdy at times and he loves computer and stuff like that so what can I do to look it nice and clean is to hide it hehehe)

tadaaah!! this is how it looks like before and after all the surgery i did LOL! :D holes and cables everywhere in the left picture!

Homemade Itlog na Maalat (Salted Eggs/ Saltade Ägg)

Hello guys! It's been 3 months now since my last post and now I'm back! :) Can't wait to share you guys my homemade itlog na maalat. Yes! I did try to make one lol just today! haha yeah!right! I know it takes time before I finally eat it so, I need lot of patience waiting for it in 30 days to be exact. So let's count the days and wait! :)
My Itlog na maalat soon!
Been wanting to make salted egg since I moved here in Sweden and I really really miss Pinoy comfort food like tuyo, isaw, betamax, kwek-kwek etc etc etc...to many to mention and "Itlog na Maalat" is one of them. I know its best to use fresh duck eggs because I've read online that duck egg has a larger yolk than the chicken egg plus their shell is much tougher that gives them a longer shelf life. Some say that duck egg is much better when its cooked because the yolk is more creamy, oily and yummy but sadly to say I just couldn't  find duck egg here, so decided to use chicken eggs.

For those who don't know what is Salted egg is: Its made by soaking the eggs (Duck or Chicken egg) in a brine solution for about 3 weeks or more. The curing period is depends on the climate's temperature. In tropical country like Pinas , salted egg cure after three weeks because of the warm weather they have so I guess here in Sweden where the weather is so cold it will takes much longer than 3 weeks :(  [patience, patience patience misay soon you'll have itlog na maalat for breakfast with sinangag, tuyo, kamatis hmmm yum yum!]

Who can work in Clixsense?

Clixsense is suitable for all kind of users (for both beginner and professional online workers)

Clixsense program details (How can we earn money in Clixsense?)

As I mentioned earlier, it’s very easy to earn money in Clixsense. You can earn from $0.001 to $ 0.02 on ADS per click, just by viewing advertisements, clixgrid and task. You can also earn money through completing the surveys. However, most of the surveys are geographically targeted, so there are more Surveys for Western countries than for Eastern countries. Who knows! just keep check it every now and then you might get one someday!

How to earn more money in Clixsense?

It will be very slow to earn money just by clicking $0.001 to $0.2 ads. Surveys give you additional income plus task (Crowdflower offer it). But the referral programs in Clixsense give you the best opportunity to earn more money.

You can earn commissions from your referrals when they view ads, complete surveys and purchase something in Clixsense. So, if you can refer more people, you can earn more money in Clixsense. There is no limit on the number of referrals in Clixsense. You can refer as many referrals as you can and build huge downline followers and can earn huge income.

Is it free to join or do I need to pay?

Clixsense is completely FREE to join and work.

Drawbacks of Clixsense:
  • If you cannot refer enough people, then it will be very slow to earn money in Clixsense.
  • There are other additional options to earn in Clixsense like completing the tasks, offers but all of them won’t give you enough money as per your time and effort on it. So, if you have enough time and patient, then you can follow the slow earning one. Otherwise, if you are busy and understand the value of time, follow the better option i.e. focus on referring people which will generate good income for you in sound interval of time.
  • The offers, tasks, surveys etc. will/may ask for your credit card information sometimes. So, we highly recommend you to avoid that all kind of work which may ask for your credit card information because those do not belong to Clixsense but they are from advertisers. Some of them can also manipulate your credit card information. So, never take a part in such work within a Clixsense which will ask for your credit card information or other critical personal information.
  • Surveys are geographically targeted as well as related with your profile information. So you can be out anytime in the middle of the survey if they think you are not fit for that survey.
