My verdict : Itlog na maalat / salted egg (chicken eggs)

This is it!...been 25 days now since I made my itlog na maalat (salted egg) and now it's time to do some taste taste :)

As you all know I used chicken eggs instead of the usual duck eggs, so I was a little bit worried that I might just get a dry yolk rather than the oily one which is usually do happened when you use the chicken eggs. Anyway, I search online (I ask MR. Google LOL) if its possible for me to attain the oily yolk even if I use different eggs or is there any method that I can use to make them as oily as possible like the one we buy in the store.

Searching, searching and searching till I found one answer! yes i found one!! and it's so easy to do I read her blog and it's really interesting too. She did the brine method and also she used chicken eggs like me!(see picture below the result) :) My Itlog na maalat!!

Creative Mind : How to Hide your cords and electric plugs

I was so busy for the past three weeks now because I am fixing my living room from the scratch (upgrading it on a budget range as you can call it) with the help of my own bare hands 😤 you know? like: removing all our old wallpaper, patching it!, refinishing it and painting it! Yup! call me a superwoman now hehehe and I'm happy about that!!. I know I can't call myself as a PRO like the professional one, but I'm proud and satisfied of what I did. 

Anyway, I already finished painting up my living room in all white (picture below) and decided to remove my husband's old bookshelf and change it to a hanging shelf instead so we can have more space because as you can see we don't have a huge living room 😤.

If your house is like ours (picture below), you have many cables,internet cord and power outlet all over the house then, you also feel the struggle that I feel everyday hehe. Seriously! I hate so much cables and wires! it makes me feel more stress out by just looking at them tangled 😤 irritating and annoying sometimes! (my Panget is a little nerdy at times and he loves computer and stuff like that so what can I do to look it nice and clean is to hide it hehehe)

Homemade Itlog na Maalat (Salted Eggs/ Saltade Ägg)

Hello guys! It's been 3 months now since my last post and now I'm back! :) Can't wait to share you guys my homemade itlog na maalat. Yes! I did try to make one lol just today! haha yeah!right! I know it takes time before I finally eat it so, I need lot of patience waiting for it in 30 days to be exact. So let's count the days and wait! :)

Been wanting to make salted egg since I moved here in Sweden and I really really miss Pinoy comfort food like tuyo, isaw, betamax, kwek-kwek etc etc etc...to many to mention and "Itlog na Maalat" is one of them. I know its best to use fresh duck eggs because I've read online that duck egg has a larger yolk than the chicken egg plus their shell is much tougher that gives them a longer shelf life. Some say that duck egg is much better when its cooked because the yolk is more creamy, oily and yummy but sadly to say I just couldn't  find duck egg here, so decided to use chicken eggs.

For those who don't know what is Salted egg is: Its made by soaking the eggs (Duck or Chicken egg) in a brine solution for about 3 weeks or more. The curing period is depends on the climate's temperature. In tropical country like Pinas , salted egg cure after three weeks because of the warm weather they have so I guess here in Sweden where the weather is so cold it will takes much longer than 3 weeks :(  [patience, patience patience misay soon you'll have itlog na maalat for breakfast with sinangag, tuyo, kamatis hmmm yum yum!]

My Korean Beauty Haul :) - Review

Finally! Here I am again! so excited to show you guys what I had purchase online this month. :) I just received my parcel last week and I've been waiting for this because this is my first time to use some Korean beauty products. *Happy me!! Lol. I just want to make sure that I try the products first for a couple of days to know if my skin will get use to it or to check if I will might get some sort of allergies on the products before I make a review, because I don't like to say to the people that it is so damn good, nice blah blah blah without even trying it right?.. :) 

This is the box and I was so amazed how they put all the products in that Lol!

Anyway, The result is absolutely amazing! its good on my skin and I must say that I really like it a lot. I cannot say anything bad about it! so guys you must try it also! I ordered it to iamlove-shop at ebay and Iamlove-shop has good reputation in ebay. Prices is quite affordable, has wide range of products, stock and some uncommon brands too. I don't actually remember anything about the shipping time and I'm not a type of person who is conscious about it haha as long as my item arrive to me safe and good it doesn't matter at all Lol!. Oh! btw they also send some free samples so just in case you might like it :) other products.

Yesterday I received my package I purchased from Zalando! I bought a new pair of boots which I think I much needed now for this coming winter season. I've been waiting for it so much because I don't have any kind of shoes for a cold weather. I usually use my rubber shoes hehe yeah! I know its not good for winter time!. I really like the model that I have bought with them and I'm completely in love it :) I always look at it on their site for almost three weeks now and finally I bought it. Gripsholm Castle - Mariefred,Sweden

Gripsholm Castle is located in Mariefred, on the lake Mälaren, about an hour drive from Stockholm and 3 hours drive from Grästorp (where I live now lol).Last week my husband and I recently had the pleasure to visit and check this castle but our original plan is to wander around Stockholm and guess what!! we ended up checking the Gripsholm Castle instead and we didn't regret it at all :) the trip was well worth it we didn't bother the long butt-aching drive from Grästorp.I asked the lady in the front desk if it's okey to take a picture inside and they said "yes" (just to make sure lol!)

The Castle itself is really beautiful and magnificent. Very well preserved and really kept in a good condition with many rooms to see. Also known as Gustav Vasa's Castle. It is one of the finest remaining example of Swedish architecture of the Vasa dynasty founded by King Gustav and combines with renaissance interiors but still remains essentially medieval. It has a fantastic view from the lake-side. The ground is absolutely calm and peaceful its good to walk and feel the breezy air after we have been inside the castle.

Welcome to SFI !

I attend my SFI class a couple of weeks now and I'm still confused and puzzled if I can make it or not argh! its prety hard thou! lol! :( but i know in my heart that I can...I Cannn!!!!!!! hihi seriously, I found it hard and mind-boggling when it comes to the grammar they have lots of rules to think about: the en and ett words plus the pronunciation too.. etc argh!. 

When I moved to Sweden I often worrying about not fitting in with the culture :( because of a language barrier but I try my best in everything, to learn as much as possible. I know how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to go to SFI and learn. So instead of making my self feeling down I take it as a challenge :) I know sooner or later all my efforts will definitely worth it ;) 

I'm happy because my experience at school is not that horrible that I thought would be.. Just a little nerve-wreaking experience at my first week hahaha because all of my classmate is already good and fluent in Swedish. My first week was really outcast that you eat lunch alone (picture above), have fika alone and always nodded and smile like you understand everything Lol! There's a point that you just looking at the clock on the wall and count the remaining time left :). My teacher and classmates were talking Swedish all the time and I couldn't understand anything promise hehe! and it made me feel kind of stressed out btw got headache when I come home hahaha. Other than that I made lots of friends :) I have new friends now Jane from Australia and Barbra from Holland. I'm lucky all my classmates are nice and accommodating.
