To start with.. guys! Bee Farm at Bohol is a resort and restaurant, they provide accommodation,livelihood, selling goods/pasalubong and a spa services, Day trips are also possible if you don't like to stay in their resort :).

After we went Dolphin watching at Balicasag Island, Our next stop is Bee Farm :) we waited for at least 30 minutes before the tour starts when we arrive in the farm. While waiting for the tour, My friends and I visit the Bee store and tried their famous organic ice cream that taste ohh soo yummy :) hehe

Their Ice cream  flavors are Durian, Ube, Tisa, Spicy Ginger, Pandan, Choco, Mango, Langka, Buko and my ohh soo favorite fruit AVOCADO :) ehehe! They let you choose two (2) different flavors , I tried AVOCADO & MANGO (i was just curious that time how it taste like to combined avocado and mango hahaha, pero infairness ha ang sarap!!!)

Guess what is nice about their ICE CREAM? guys!! they use cone made from cassava.. amazing right? ... :)  ice cream sells at 60 php per cone.. very affordable :)

Tour start on time :) yes!. The guide discuss first the history of the farm, how farm helps their daily life and what they do in the Bohol Bee farm. The tour guide showed us different farm crops and quizzed a bit about the different types of herbs. (Well, please! don't ask about my score!! hahaha  *wink!

Hmm I learned that all the herbs, flowers and salad that served at their restaurant are picked straight from the farm :)  They didn't use any chemicals on their plants only compos and natural fertilizer :) so they assured that all their costumers are safe.

When you hear BEE FARM.. what else comes to your mind?!!  hhmmm let me guess .. is it bEE or Lot of BEEEEEEEss!!?? lol. Bees helps in the pollination of the plants and flower inside the resort. The tour guide  showed us one of the beehive  with hundreds .. opps! thousands of bees inside.. and some of them are flying too :P hehehe. Lecture about the beehive : In one beehive, only 1 queen exist.. ( super major QUEEN siya ) hahaha majority of the bee in one hive are male and their ultimate purpose is to mate with the major queen *wink  and by that they produce more bees.. :)

So what's interesting about bee farming :) is that you learn about the life of the bees, how their population grow easily and how short their life span is. Bee farm lesson is not for people who easily get bored and not interested about farm lecture :P everything is fine with me..  I'm a curious DoRA the explorer ! lol :)

You will love to visit the farm not because you wanted to cultivate your own bees or raise a big farm :) the homey feeling of staying in a nice farm is really worth it ... plus good food, ice cream lot of bees hahaha :P
