[WATCHinHD] Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! In today's video is a quick tutorial of how I do my manicure using dip powder nails by Modelones Azure Dip powder! Doing nails at home is really relaxing esp now that we are only staying at home because of the quarantine. I hope everything well in your place and stay safe always.
Disclaimer guys: I’m not a professional nail tech but I love doing my own nails as a hobby so please, please be calm! if you see that I apply it in a wrong way! hahaha I am not a professional I'm just a girl who apparently love doing her nails at home and want to save a couple of bucks! so please bear with me :) LOL.
☀ PRODUCTS I USED ON THE VIDEO:
Sally Hansen cuticle remover
Azure Beauty Nude & Pink Dipping powder
Azure-Glitter Dipping Powder
Neonails Hard Top - 7.2ml
Le mini Macaroon Gel Lamp
☀ LETS START:
1. First prep your nails by using a cuticle remover to remove all the dirt and oils in your nails and ensuring that your hands are completely dry, oil-free, and dust free. File and buffed your nails to create rough surface so that dip powder will adhere more into your nails. You can pushh back and trim your cuticles using cuticle nipper.
2. Apply thin layer of #1 Base Coat into your whole nails. This is what the powder will adhere to, so make sure you get full coverage on your nail while keeping the coat as thin as possible.
3. Immediately dip you nails into the dip powder jar and make sure you're entire nail is emerged for even coverage. Remove and gently tap the side of your finger to remove any excess powder.
Wait at least 30 seconds before brushing off the excess powder with a nail brush. Repeat this step on the same nail until you get the color and thickness you desire. Then, repeat on the rest of your other hand. For full coverage, apply a second thin, even base coat to each nail again. Repeat the process one more time for a second coat and brush of the excess powder.
4. Apply activator to all fingers on one hand and wait at least 30 seconds. You want to make sure the dip is properly cured and very hard. You can test this by tapping. If it still feels soft, apply more activator.
5. Once your dip powder is dry and hard, you can now file your nail to the desired length and shape. Also, buff them to remove any unevenness.
6. Then to finish it off, apply one thin layer of top gel and allow it to dry for 30 seconds. You can also use your desired top gel polishes and cure it in the led lamp.
I have never tried dipping powder before and I thought it will be tricky to apply, but honestly it was much easier then I expected. Colours are absolutely beautiful and cute. I had so much fun doing it and I'am so excited to try my other colors too! I would definitely recommend it to all beginners out there who would like to try different kind of manicure esp these dip powder.
