I know there are lots of site offered good tips and nice suggestions on where and what to do @ bora. Well,I know I am not a Boracay expert but on my recent 4day stay there where I had a chance to mingle with the locals and some peeps experts ( hehe yung mga peeps expert eh mga repappip friends ko lol :D). I just come up with my own version (based on my own experience hehe). I've compiled some of tips, tricks and suggestion on how to enjoy and save money and time lalo na kung budget wise lang pag-uusapan hehe :). Hope it will helps a little lols so that everyone would be able to avoid the scams lalo na yung mga hidden charges na bigla nalang susulpot hahaha.
If you wanna come to Boracay. First, of course you'll have to book your flights to Caticlan or Kalibo..lol:)[check for cebu pacific site for a low fare rate :)].
If via Kalibo Airport, you have to ride a bus or a van for only 200 petot going to Caticlan port area (well, it depends if you are in a group or per head.. negotiation basis sya sa driver.] Some of drivers offer also package deals like pati uwian sila na mismo ang susundo sa inyo (text text lang usapan hehe). Travel time is about 1 to 1 1/2 hours :)

From Caticlan,you have to pay for terminal fees (Php 375 total each person) for the port, the environmental fee and for boat.
(Nice yung ticket nila parang ATM card na sswipe mo lang pag pasok ng terminal :)) Actually, if you like yung ordinary na boat lang na mas mura ata yung 100pesos lang ata pwede rin medjo matagal nga lang ang biyahe.. if like nyo naman yung big boat 200 pesos lang at wala pang ilang minuto andun ka na agad parang di nga uminit pwet ko sa kakaupo haha anyway..continuation..lol
The boat will dock at Cagban Port. From Cagban port, get a tricycle for only 25.00 petot per head good for 4-5 people just ask the driver to drop you off at your hotel.

| Some hotel offered free ride to thier costumer anywhere, bsta along vicinity lang nung hotel :) so big plus siya for tipid mode. [wag lang mag papauto sa mga trike driver. Some of them charge too much kaya kung malapit lang ang pupuntahan best way na makatipid is maglakad :) exercise plus malilibot mo pa ang ibang mga street :) ]. |
1 activity : Go for ATV.If you want to save money, maglakad :) or else take a trike usually it is 25 pesos per person hehe and tell the trike driver to take you to the ATV place. Since dinala na kami ng service nang hotel less pamasahe hahaha. After that konting instructions lang about ATV on how to drive it and they will give a minute of drive test :) Magddrive ka lang naman ng ilang metro :) Well, there will be 2 stop over on your ATV ride and both of it may entrance fee [another hidden charge lols] kung dumaan kayo sa mga Fixer both stops costs 250 petot pero kung sa ATV place mismo kayo pumunta, yung total for the both stops was only 110 petot. Ang 70 at 60 petot na entrance sa Everland Aviary Park [5 minutes to explore the place kainiss noh saglit lang na oras pano mo maeexplore yun hahaha :)] at Tanawin View Point.

Everland Aviary Park 1st stop pag nag ATV kayo :) [see picture below :)] pwede ring magpapicture sa bat :) hehe parang mas enjoy lang yung pagddrive then picture picture parang yun lang naman yung pinaka highlight dun :) hehe. At dadaanan nyo rin yung Tanawin View point.

2nd Activity :) Try Helmet Diving that cost 450 pHp per person pero 500 pag-peak season lol :0 I saw they use air compressors for this.. they also say that there are other helmet diving operator that uses oxygen rather than air compressor. [I think the oxygen one would be a bit more expensive (around 800 pesos yata). Hhmm I think,budget wise again hahaha mapa-air compressor or not, the package includes the underwater photos and videos that they will shoot na meron pang sign language na kasama hahaha :) I rember kasi na [hands waving means video and hands says stop means picture hahaha they will shoot underwater and after that they will put in a CD.. oh diba :) but you have to wait for tommorow para lang makuha yung CD :).

For those who don't want to do this kasi nakakatakot naman talaga sa mga firstimer hehehe :) pwede rin naman sumama sa mga friends nyo ng libre hahaha :) dun nga lang kayo sa boat tagabantay ng mga gamit ng mga friends nyo :) hehe .
3rd is BANANA BOAT .... suppa enjoy for only 250 isa :) no hidden chrages pero .. ang nakakainis lang dito eh 30 minutes lang. Come to think of it 30 minutes.. eh papunta palang kayo sa gitna ng dagat abot na ng 30 minutes .. so konti lang yung time to enjoy it kasi pagdating sa malalim.....babalik kagad kayo!!! grrr hahaha :)
anyway i-enjoy nalang kahit saglit lang hahaha :D
Try to do the package trip hahaha Island Hopping with snorkeling and fish feeding and lunch at Magic Island acctually dala namin yung mga food .. just like paluto style!! ..:). Ok lang sana yung package pero the bad part was, they didnt informed us that there are other charges only to find out when we were already at the middle of the sea!! hahaha just like snorkeling .. diba kasama na sa package yon so it mean even the goggles are fee :) but that thing is hindi pa pala kasama sa bayad yung gadget!! hahaha so for 20 php you will avail the goggles and you can enjoy the fish.. 14 kaming lahat at tig-20 per head so it means 280 din yun kung susumahin :) pero ok lng not bad naman kung 20 pesos lang ;) what much choice do we have, right? kundi bayaran nalang kesa naman na we just stay at the boat at magtitigan maghapon hahahaha.. They should have told us upon paying the 750 pesos that there are other charges like that kakainis.. hahaha what if wala kang dalang spare money.. masspoil nyo lang yun lakad because of that hidden charges .. :D much better kung marunog makipag tawaran hahha :)
Try to ride ZorB, jet Ski,parasailing, Do paraWsailing :) and ride a flyfish and try kite surfing!! :) .. all of it cost not only hundreds but thousands hahahaa :) [pag iipunan ko muna itong lahat :) haha para maexperience ko].
Dont be sad hindi naman lahat sa bora mahal eh lols... may mura din naman at may mura na mapapamura ka sa sobrang mahal!! lols sabi nga nila best things in life are free.. isama narin natin ang cheap at affordable term hahaha.!!!! Here are some of the activities in Boracay you can do without on your budget list or let say mura at libre!!
- Enjoy the beach and do jump shot photos,walk at night and explore different bars and food establishment. :)
- try to watch firedance and buy a famous shake at bora... its Jonah's firuitshake for only 99-100 petot :) choose banana and milk shake supah yummy!
- Explore D'palengke for lot of pasalubong!.. while walking on the street try to buy loco frio free tumbler!! and choose marGarita hahaha :)
- Get a henna tattoo and enjoy window shopping at D'mall :) try to hunt artista and foreign cuties lol.
- enjoy the sandcastles while they are still there just give some donation.. any amount :) Play with the sand and dig your friend a hole at IBAON!!! hahaha :) dont forget to visit the grotto :)!!
Hmmm... so what else is left for me to do? lol. I might try do the buggy car ride on my own since it was a ATV the one I drove last time. Oh wait, I will have my hair braided next time i will visit boracay!! hahaha or since buget wise ako this year baka nextime bongga na hehe. I might also try dining at expensive hotels and restos. And maybe I can enroll at a scuba diving school? We'll see. ^_^eeee.. haha sobrang expensive!! lols pero why not!! diba..
