CHICKEN MECHADO RECIPE | EASY - FILIPINO FOOD

My own recipe of CHICKEN MECHADO Filipino style. Simple and easy to cook. Hope you like my recipe and let me know in the comment section below if you also like Chicken mechado. 

Ingredients:

• 4 pcs chicken breast cut into small (breast, drumsticks or wings) 
• 2 cloves garlic , chopped 
• 1 medium onion , chopped 
• 3 tbsp soy sauce 
• 2 bay leaves 
• 1 cup water 
• 1 green bell pepper , cut into large chunks 
• 2 medium carrots , peeled and cut into large chunks 
• 2 medium potatoes , peeled and cut into large chunks 
• 1 knorr chicken cubes 
• 1tbsp Sugar 
• Salt 
• Ground black pepper oil

Recipe Cooking Procedure: 

1. In a wok, saute garlic and onions. 
2. Add chicken and stir fry until its color change to slightly brown. 
3. Add water (just enough to cover the chicken), tomato sauce, soy sauce, laurel leaf, bell peppers, potatoes, carrots, and black peppers. 
4. Bring to boil then lower the fire and simmer for at least 20~30 minutes or until the meat becomes tender. No need to add additional water if there are already enough build up of oil from chicken fats. 
5. Cover the pan during cooking. 
6. Finally, make a taste test. Add salt seasoning if necessary 
7. Serve while still hot.

[WATCHinHD] Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! Today I cook my favorite pinoy style sopas. Creamy na at sobrang simple lang lutuin. Pwedeng pang business na tinda pang almusal. Sobrang affordable at malinamnam. Tara nood na :) 

Ingredients: 

• Butter - 100g 
• White Onion - 1 pc medium size, minced 
• Garlic - 1 pc medium size, minced 
• Carrots - 1 pc large size, diced 
• Hotdog/sausage - 2 pcs 
• Chicken cubes - 1 pcs 
• Chicken breast - 1 or 2 pcs 
• Water - 2 cups 
• Salt - 1 tablespoon 
• Ground black pepper -2 tablespoon 
• Cabbage - 1 pc small size, shredded 
• Elbow Macaroni pasta 
• Milk - 1-2 cups heavy cream - half cup

ESTEE LAUDER GENTLE EYE vs L'OREAL MICELLAR WATER

Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! Here is my tagalog review/comparison of Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Micellar Water vs Loreal Micellar Cleansing Water. So what do you think is the best the expensive one or the cheapest one?.

Lets start with the Expensive one the Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Micellar Water that I got last Christmas. This makeup remover doesn’t smell of anything but looks really gorgeous and luxurious in its blue bottle with gold cap. I find it very strange that it doesn’t smell of anything at all but if you shake it it will produce bubbles (it feels just like a water with soap in it LOL).

It is true that it is very gentle in the eyes but I feel a little bit of tingly sensation on my skin whenever I use it, it's not that bad and very tolerable. Isn't my favorite makeup remover like other micellar water that I’ve been using for years now but it does work well in removing most of makeup, also not the best in removing waterproof mascara from my lashes.

One thing I don't like is I always get too much of the product on my cotton pad because the hole in the bottle is too big so be careful when pouring it or it will spilt everything.

I would definitely recommend you to just buy drugstore eye makeup remover. There are lots you can find that are really efficient and it's cheaper as well but if you like to splurge for a high-end micellar water, go for it and test it out if you want to repurchase it again.

Next is this L'oreal Micellar Water I bought it in our local grocery here in a very cheap price. This is a wonderful micellar water and takes off all my makeup including mascara with no hassle at all. I own the Garnier micellar water also (been using it for years) and for me L'Oreal performed just as good as Garnier.

It also look soapy when you shake the bottle and it has no fragrance. It does not sting my eyes, very affordable and has sensible packaging for 400ml of product you get, what else you could ask for. The packaging is also nice and unlike Estee Lauder this one has a small opening.

The only downside is the bottle is pretty big which is very inconvenient if you are a person who travels a lot, but other than that it's a not big deal at all. If you're looking for a very effective drugstore micellar water I highly recommend this L'oreal Makeup remover.

For me they are both a winner because they remove my make-up so easily and they are both effective. The only factor is that one is expensive and the other one is cheap. For me I wouldn't repurchase again the Estee Lauder because it costs much but if you can afford it, I'd recommend it, but if not there are some drugstore makeup remover that you can find that are just as good as Estee Lauder - like the L'oreal, Bioderma or Garnier. If you are in a budget mode the L'oreal is the one and if you'd like to try high-end one then go for Estee Lauder I definetly recommend both of them!. But on the other side, this year reminded us how fragile and precious our life is, and the importance of taking advantage of every minute of it!. 

Nothing is certain and every little thing is beautiful; the pandemic become an opportunity to finally be able to deal with ourselves, where the world has stopped and everything around us start to function at a slow pace. No matter what's happening in our present time, take this opportunity to stop, look around, appreciate what u have and breathe. Spend more time with your family and always check your friends if they're okay too. 

So, as I begin to get ready for family, fun, and food.. yup! we are still going to celebrate here at home and make sure that we will going to make the most out of it to be happy and enjoyable. I just like to take this time to reflect and be grateful for all the wonderful things that happened in my life esp this year of pandemic! #newyear2021 #newyear #happynewyear2121

Perfect Soft Boiled Eggs In Air Fryer | PHILIPS AIRFRYER

[WATCHinHD] Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! In todays video, I'll show you how you can cook a soft boiled egg in an air fryer. Perfect soft boiled eggs! They turned out perfect and peel so easily.
The air fryer that I'm using is PHILIPS AIRFRYER XXL COLLECTION - HD9650

Air Fryer Hard or Soft Boiled Eggs – are so easy that you’ll never make them on your stove top again! So here's how:

🍳 INGREDIENTS
6 eggs (cold)

🍳 INSTRUCTIONS

Before preparing eggs in any way make sure to use fresh eggs and wash it thoroughly. Then pricked a hole at the bottom of each eggs.

Place the eggs in the air fryer basket and cook 150°C (8-10 mins) for a softer yolk, 12 minutes for a firmer yolk (time may vary depending on the make and model of your air fryer).

Run under cold water and peel right away.

Serve & Enjoy!

FOR SOFT BOILED EGGS - 150°C (8-10 mins)
FOR HARD BOILED EGGS - 100°C (12 mins)

☀INGREDIENTS 

300g cream cheese (Färskost Arla)
100g cups sugar (1dl)
2 eggs and 1 yolk
2 cups heavy cream ( Vispgrädde Falköpings Mejeri)
1 tbsp vanilla
2 tbsp all-purpose flour (sieve)

Preheat airfryer ot 180° (bake mode) for 5 mins
Bake for 25 mins add 5 mins if you like it more brown on top.

MOIST BANANA BREAD WITH ALMOND NUTS

[WATCHinHD] Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! Today is a quick tutorial on homemade banana bread with Almond nuts :)

EASY RECIPE | BANANBRÖD MED MANDELNÖTTER

☀INGREDIENTS 

1½ Cup All Purpose Flour (shifted) 

½ tsp Baking powder 

1 tsp Baking Soda 

½ Cup MilK 

2 Eggs 

3 pcs Mashed Bananas (Overripe) 

1Cup White sugar 

1 tsp Vanilla Extract 

1 Cup Almond Nuts chopped (Dr Oetker hackad mandel) 

150g Melted Butter (I used salted butter)

(add ½ tsp salt IF YOU USE UNSALTED BUTTER)

Bake for 50-60minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

BUDBUD NA NIYOG - How to make TOASTED COCONUT FLAKES

Hello Superfriends! I'm back sa balakubak! Gagawa tayo ng Budbud na niyog or Toasted Coconut. Making toasted coconut is a very simple process and it's easy to make it on your own rather than buying the one already made in the store.  

Ingredients: 

- Fresh grated coconut meat or dried coconut strips 

- 1 tbsp of sugar (white or brown sugar) 

You can use it as a toppings on your favorite kakanins (a filipinos sweet delicacies) such as sapin-sapin, kutsinta, palitaws, etc.

On the Stove: In a wide skillet combine the fresh grated coconut meat or dried coconut strips with 1 tbsp of brown sugar and mix thoroughly (add more sugar if you like it more sweeter). Put it on over a medium heat. Cook, stirring regularly for about 1 to 3 minutes or coconut begins to brown. Turn off heat and continue to cook, stirring regularly, in the residual heat until mostly golden brown. Remove immediately from pan and allow to cool completely.
